Where we are going matters,
but who we are becoming matters more.
As we prepare to make a physical move as a church this fall, we are preparing ourselves for God to move in us.
We are preparing for a space that will make room for others by making room for God within us.
To do that, we are committing as a church family to consider what thing(s) we can minimize or cut out our our lives to make room for either a new spiritual practice or room for more focus on a current spiritual practice.
Below, you will find a spiritual practice for each week of the Making Room sermon series.
We recommend that you NOT attempt to do all these if they are all new to you. Pick one. Develop it as a habit for a time. Then consider what spiritual practice should be added next in your life.
Your goal is not perfect completion. It is moving in the direction of building a consistent spiritual practice, while recognizing it will take time, you may not notice it "working" initially, and you will not do it perfectly.
But if you continue to show up and ask the Holy Spirit to do His hidden work within you, over time, you will find that God has transformed you to be a little bit more the person He intends you to become.
