FAQS
WHAT ARE E-GROUPS?
E-groups are gender-specific groups of 3 who commit to meet weekly for accountability, Bible reading, and prayer with the goal of making disciples.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Ask someone you know to commit to reading through the gospel of Mark with you. When they agree, ask them to invite someone they know to join in! Then, once you have your group of 3, make sure everyone has access to this FREE E-group Kit.
WHAT DO WE DO AT OUR MEETINGS?
You'll go through the 6 C's as listed below.
Connect - Take a few minutes just to hang out.
Celebrate - Take a moment to celebrate wins from the week.
(Maybe someone in your group read 3 out of 5 daily readings in a row for the first time!)
Check-In - Choose an accountability question or two from your E-group kit or create your own and take turns answering.
Coach - This is not the responsibility of any one person. Anyone can ask and everyone answers! The primary tool for coaching is asking each other three questions:
What did Jesus say to you last week?
What did you do about it?
How can we pray for you?
Care - Spend time in specific prayer for each other. Allow everyone to share a prayer need and allow everyone to pray out loud.
Communicate - Make sure to communicate when and where you E-group will meet next.

WHAT DO WE READ?
This year, we are encouraging E-groups to follow a Gospels Reading Plan included for you in this E-group Kit.
WHEN AND WHERE DO WE MEET?
Agree on a time and location where the 3 of you will meet each week for 1 hour.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF 3 MONTHS?
The goal of E-groups is to make disciples. As soon as someone in your group knows someone else who wants to be part of an E-group, it's time to multiply into another group. We do encourage you to at least get through the gospel of Mark before multiplying. At the end of 3 months with a group, start the process again. You can even use a new reading plan with your new group if you'd like!
HOW DO WE JOURNAL ABOUT OUR BIBLE READING?
We have included a sample journaling method in this E-group Kit called The H.E.A.R. Method. It's a simple way to get into the habit of journaling from God's word.
WHY ONLY 3 PEOPLE PER E-GROUP?
We encourage groups of 3 for a couple of reasons. The smaller the group, the greater the connection among those in the group. Scheduling with 3 people is easier than 5 or more.
WHY DO WE HAVE TO MEET EVERY WEEK?
Consistency is key in growing maturity and connecting with everyone in the group!
WHY ARE WE COMMITTING TO MEET WEEKLY FOR 3 MONTHS?
3 months is long enough to develop healthy habits and connections, but short enough to remain in the mindset of multiplication. Remember, our goal is making disciples, and there are others who need this type of community!
WHAT IF WE CAN'T MEET IN-PERSON?
E-groups can meet virtually if meeting in-person is not an option for your group.
