REOPENING PLAN

FAQs

What will be the same?
Our mission to see people exchange their old life for new life in Christ and live out their purpose is still the same! We will continue to welcome guests and members, love their children as best as we can, serve as doorholders, and preach the gospel of Jesus.

What will be different?
We will be limiting crowding throughout our building and in the parking lots to help keep everyone safe and healthy. There will be new entrances and exits for the gathering, and more hand sanitizer stations near the entrances and exits. We will have doors propped open to create a touchless entry and exit. We have new procedures for dropping off and picking up LittleLIFE (birth through kindergarten) children, as well as limited spots available in each LittleLIFE room. KidLIFE (1st – 5th grades) will only happen during our 8:30 gathering to help with limited gathering space and limited doorholders. Our coffee bar will be closed, and we will be limiting hallway traffic for restroom needs only.

What if I’m not ready to come back yet?
We understand many of you may not be ready to gather in-person quite yet. That’s ok! We will still provide ways for you to be a part of the gathering online. The LIVE stream will be available through our website, YouTube, or Facebook each Sunday at 10am.

Will there be activities for my LittleLIFE kids (birth-kindergarten)?
Yes, we invite you to drop off your birth – kindergarten age children in LittleLIFE for them to experience God on their level. Our medical team will do a quick check of their temp with a contactless thermometer. There will be limited spots available in each classroom, and we will not be serving them a snack during the hour they are in our care, so make sure to feed them before checking them in. Our doorholders will also have a temperature check upon arrival to help ensure your child’s safety and health.

Will there be activities for my KidLIFE kids (1st-5th grade)?
Yes, we invite you to drop off your 1st-5th grader in KidLIFE for them to experience God on their level. For now, our KidLIFE experiences will be during the 8:30 gathering only. Our medical team will do a quick check of their temp with a contactless thermometer. There will be limited spots available, and we will not be serving them a snack during the hour they are in our care, so make sure to feed them before checking them in. Our doorholders will also have a temperature check upon arrival to help ensure your child’s safety and health.

On Sunday mornings, we ask that your KidLIFE kid sit in the gathering with you. We will provide activity kits at the door to help keep their attention during the gathering. You can also bring a tablet and headphones so your KidLIFE kid can engage with the KidLIFE experience during the sermon.

How will I check-in my kids?
Our Check-In Desk will be set up outside of the LittleLIFE entrance. The side parking lot will have barricades and tents for shade as you check your kids in. We are asking that every parent checking in a child download the Church Center App on your Apple Device or Android Device and check your kids in before approaching the desk. This will help our check-in process remain as touch-free as possible. If you do not have the Church Center App, or if you are unsure about how to check your kid in through the app, don’t worry! We will have plenty of signage in our check-in area to walk you through a simple 3 step process to check your kids in. We will also have doorholders stationed to help you.

Will LittleLIFE or KidLIFE doorholders be required to wear a mask?
The CDC guidelines for daycares do not require teachers to wear masks, so we are not requiring masks for our LittleLIFE doorholders. We believe it’s important for a small child to see the big smile of the doorholder receiving them into their room! We will, however, require all LittleLIFE & KidLIFE doorholders to be temperature-checked upon arrival, before they are stationed in a room as an extra precaution to help keep our kids safe and healthy!

Do I have to wear a mask to attend the gathering?
Masks are not required to attend an in-person gathering. Some of our doorholders whose roles require closer contact with others will be wearing masks, and you are certainly welcome to wear them if you would like.

How will we enter the building?
We have moved our entrance to the gathering, and everyone will now enter from outside directly into the main gathering space. An usher will seat you in the next socially-distant seat available. If you are checking in LittleLIFE kids, you will drop them off at the LittleLIFE entrance off of Bierdeman Rd. and then walk around to the parking lot behind Trustmark Bank to enter the gathering space.

How will we sit?
Families or “parties” will be seated together after everyone in that “party” is present, and our ushers will leave 2 chairs in between each group. We have already distanced the rows in the gathering space for social distancing. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we will not be able to allow you to select your seat or save seats during this season of social distancing.

What if the gathering space reaches the new limited capacity?
We will have two overflow spaces setup to accommodate people who show up late, or after the main gathering space has reached capacity. We would ask for doorholders to please be aware of first time guests and be willing to give up their seat in the main gathering space if necessary to seat a new family.

What is your plan and process for cleaning the church building?
Our building will be deep cleaned each weekend before our Sunday gatherings. Then high touch areas will be sanitized during and between each Sunday gathering to create as safe and clean of an environment as possible.
